5 Weeks old!

We have had a busy 5 weeks! I can't believe Neville is that old already (will be 6 weeks tomorrow)! The first 2 weeks were great, except that Ian got croup and an ear infection and almost ended up at Primary Children's because his oxygen was too low. By the time I took Neville in for his 2 weeks check-up, he had developed a cough but was otherwise happy. I was going to have the doctor check it out, and the nurse heard Neville cough and decided to check his oxygen level while we waited for the doctor to come in. Unfortunately his oxygen level was too low and so his Dr called an ambulance to take us up to Primary Children's. We ended up spending 4 days there due to RSV and we were finally able to bring Neville home on oxygen (he was on it for 3 days after). He just got back to being my "mellow, happy baby" and started showing signs of an allergic reaction to dairy. So we had to put him on a soy formula, which has helped, but he still has his fussy moments. He is gorgeous, and we just love having him in our family!

This was taken before we went to the his RSV check-up and he was still on oxygen.

Baby Neville is Here!

I have been a horrible blogger, but for those of you who didn't know, my due date was February 28th. I went in for a check-up a couple of weeks ago and my doctor set my C-Section date for Sunday the 21st. We went in Sunday morning and everything was very laid back and mellow.
I was very big and I am not exaggerating! I measured 44cm at 38.5 weeks. My doctor told me that it felt like a lot of fluid and most women don't go from having a 7 pound baby to having a 10 pound baby. So, when my C-Section started I was joking with the Dr to tell me if there was a lot of fluid or not.
It turns out there was a lot of fluid, but apparently I am not like "most women" ha ha! Neville was quite the surprise, not only were we surprised that he was a boy (we wanted it that way), but he came in this world weighing a whopping 10 pounds 2 ounces and 22 inches long!
Brandon and Neville were able to stay in the operating room the whole time, which has never been the case before and they were even able to come back to labor and delivery with me until I went upstairs. Usually Brandon and the baby leave right away to the nursery. So, it was definitely more laid back this time! Ian is so excited to have a little brother! Luckily the hospital changed their vistor restrictions last week, so the kids were able to come up and see the baby. Audra was a little nervous to see Mommy lying in a hospital bed, but she warmed up after awhile. She has always been my "lil' mama" and she is a BIG helper!
I love this picture with Brandon, Ian, Audra, and Neville.
Now we're home and getting adjusted. So far everything is going well. Things can be a little chaotic, but things were chaotic before. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful family!

Christmas Morning

The kids had a lot of fun Christmas morning. It was fun to see their excitement! Audra woke up first and was excited to make sure everyone else got up. Here are pictures of the kids coming down the stairs and opening some of their presents. Audra loved her Fur Real kitty and Ian loved his Spongebob Sorry.

Nana & Bampa's Party

The kids had a lot of fun at their Nana and Bampa's Christmas party. We opened our Christmas crackers, opened presents and had a fabulous dinner and dessert! The kids were spoiled by everyone. Here is a picture of them with their crowns on from the Christmas crackers.

Peterson Christmas Party

We also re-enacted the nativity at the Peterson party, Ian was a shepherd and Audra was an angel. The kids had a lot of fun and it was neat to see! We also had a gift exchange and the kids had a lot of fun doing that. It was a great night!

Earl Christmas Party

We had lots of fun at the Earl Christmas Party. All the grandkids dressed up as manger animals and nativity characters. It was really cute to watch them come out as the Christmas Story was read.

Halloween 2009

Too cute!
Ian showing me his STRONG muscles
Ian was so excited, he's had a rough time containing the excitement all week!
Aww, the price of beauty. Putting in curlers and sitting and waiting for Mommy to do my hair was all worth it.
The finished product, bring on Prom and other dances...I think I will definitely be ready to do the hair thing by then!
Audra's all ready to go!
