Audra loves to play dress up. She was so cute with her sunglasses, purse, and her blanket (she takes it with her everywhere). Because she was getting to show off in front of the camera Ian had to too!

We took the kids to the Zoo and we got to watch the show at the Asian Highlands. The kids loved watching the Leopard do tricks even though it made Ian a little nervous to be so close!

We went to the Murray Parade, which is our family tradition. The kids had a lot of fun, and Audra loved all of the floats because she could see the "pretty princesses". Later that day we got together for a BBQ and swimming.
The day after Audra's birthday (last Saturday) she became very sick. At first I thought she just had too much sugar and excitement from the night before. She couldn't eat anything all day and she vomited a couple times an hour. Then the next day she was vomiting and spiked a fever. I took her to Instacare thinking maybe she had an ear infection. She was extremely dehydrated so they started her on IV fluids and then had an ambulance transport us to Primary Children's Hospital. They kept her on an IV until Wednesday morning and while they ran tests, and it turned out she had Rotavirus which they vaccinate for now, but she just missed the cut off for it because it is a fairly new vaccination (they vaccinate at 2, 4, and 6 months of age she was about 9 months old when they started the vaccination). It actually is very common and most kids it is just like the stomach flu, but some severe cases can cause severe dehydration. It is extremely contagious and they had to keep her on "contact" which limited who came into the room (and she couldn't leave her room) and any personnel who came in the room had to wear masks, gloves, and surgical gowns. We couldn't leave the hospital until she would eat and drink without it coming back up. Finally Wednesday she started to eat and drink, but before we left the hospital they played Bingo. They handed out bingo cards to a bunch of the rooms and had us tune in to a channel to watch as "Barbie" (someone dressed as Barbie) read off the bingo cards. It was a lot of fun and afterwards they came to each room and gave the kids a toy. Audra got Ballerina Barbie (her first Barbie ever) and she is so excited to have a Barbie like her Mom.
For Audra's birthday it was all Tinkerbell (she loves Tinkerbell the best). The tiara she is wearing her "bampa" bought for her when she was 2 months old and now she has enough hair to actually wear it.
Here she is in the middle of blowing out the candles on her Tinkerbell cake.
