Peterson Christmas Party

We also re-enacted the nativity at the Peterson party, Ian was a shepherd and Audra was an angel. The kids had a lot of fun and it was neat to see! We also had a gift exchange and the kids had a lot of fun doing that. It was a great night!

Earl Christmas Party

We had lots of fun at the Earl Christmas Party. All the grandkids dressed up as manger animals and nativity characters. It was really cute to watch them come out as the Christmas Story was read.

Halloween 2009

Too cute!
Ian showing me his STRONG muscles
Ian was so excited, he's had a rough time containing the excitement all week!
Aww, the price of beauty. Putting in curlers and sitting and waiting for Mommy to do my hair was all worth it.
The finished product, bring on Prom and other dances...I think I will definitely be ready to do the hair thing by then!
Audra's all ready to go!

Pumpkin Carving

Audra loved to scoop out the guts of the pumpkin, Ian hated it and kept flinging his guts all over on to everyone! (In case you're wondering Audra is in curlers in preparation for her Halloween costume)
We had the Peterson side of the family over, and everyone had a lot of fun. A new family tradition in the making...
Ian is pretty proud of "his Spongebob" (even though Brandon did all of the work). Ian did pick the pumpkin out at a farm on one of his field trips.
Jack Skelington
For some reason I couldn't get this picture to turn out better, but it is a perfect Minnie Mouse.
Ian's favorite...Spongebob
Darth Vader
This did say Happy Halloween, but unfortunately one of the kids who call themselves "Not Me" got to it :(

Barnyard Boo

Brandon took this picture of the kids and I because they wanted to get their picture taken by the "BIG pumpkin".
Audra loved having her face painted!
This is the first time Audra has ridden a pony. The last time we came (2 years ago) she was too little. She loved it!
Ian loves to ride his horse "like a cowboy".

We had a lot of fun on the wagon ride around the farm too!

Catch up...

Okay, so I am horribly behind in posting, so the next few posts are pretty much some of the things that have been happening in the last couple of months. In case any of you didn't know, we are also expecting baby #3. We are very excited and so are the kids. Ian wants a boy and Audra wants a girl. This time we kept it a surprise, so we will see. The due date is February 28th, but the baby will most likely be born February 21st or sooner via c-section. We had the ultrasound last Wednesday and everything is looking great! We hope all is well with everyone, and you have had a great summer too!

Audra's First Day of Preschool!

Here's Audra on her first day of preschool. I thought she was going to have a hard time adjusting, but she just jumped right in and loves it. Her teachers already knew who she was from coming to pick up her brother, so that definitely helped her adjust. She seems more concerned with being studious than social, which is completely opposite from her brother. Audra loves to tell me about the things she learns like "the little girl and her sheep that followed her to school" (Mary had a Little Lamb).
